Getting Started: Registration & Account Creation

1. Register Your Account

Your journey begins with creating an applicant account on the JABU ePortal. This is where you'll provide your basic details to get started.

• Visit the registration page: eportal.jabu.edu.ng/application/register
• Select your Programme Type (e.g., Undergraduate).
• Enter your valid JAMB Registration Number if you have one.
• Provide your First Name, Middle Name (if any), and Last Name exactly as they appear on your JAMB result.
• Enter a valid and active Email Address. This will be your primary communication channel.
• Provide your active Phone Number.
• Create a strong Password for your account and confirm it.
• Click the "Register" button to complete this step.

2. Verify Your Email & Get Your Application Number

After registration, an important email will be sent to the address you provided. This email contains crucial information for your application.

• Check your inbox for an email from JABU. If you don't see it, please check your spam or junk folder, as it might have been filtered there.
• The email will contain your unique Application Number. For undergraduate applicants, this number will be in the format: JABU-YYYY-XXXXX (e.g., JABU-2024-00123). Keep this number safe!
• Follow the instructions in the email to verify your account. This step is essential to proceed.

3. Log In to Your Applicant Dashboard

Once your account is verified, you can log in to your personalized applicant dashboard to begin filling out your application form.

• Visit the applicant login page: eportal.jabu.edu.ng/application/login
• Enter your registered Email Address and the Password you created.
• Click "Sign In" to access your dashboard. Your dashboard will display your application progress.

Completing Your Application

Your application is divided into several sections. You must complete them in the order presented on the portal. Your dashboard will guide you through each stage.

4. Make Your Application Payment

This is the first crucial step after logging in. You must complete your application fee payment before you can access and fill out any other sections of the application form.

• On your dashboard, locate the payment section.
• Follow the instructions to make the required application fee payment. Ensure you have a stable internet connection and your payment details ready.
• Upon successful payment, the other application sections (Biodata, Next of Kin, etc.) will be unlocked.

5. Fill in Your Biodata

This section requires your personal information.

• Carefully fill in all required fields, including your gender, date of birth, state of origin, local government area, contact address, nationality, and other personal details.
• Ensure all information is accurate and consistent with your official documents.

6. Provide Next of Kin Information

You will need to provide details of your next of kin.

• Enter the full name, relationship, phone number, email address, and residential address of your designated next of kin.

7. Enter Your Educational Qualifications

This section is for your academic history, specifically your O'Level results for undergraduate applicants.

• Select your desired Department and Programme of Study at JABU.
• Carefully enter your O'Level results (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB). You will typically need to provide details for up to two sittings if applicable.
• Ensure that the subjects and grades entered match your certificates exactly.

8. Upload Required Documents

You will need to upload scanned copies of your supporting documents. Ensure your documents are clear, legible, and in the specified format (PDF, JPG, or PNG).

• Passport Photograph: A recent, clear passport-sized photograph with a white or off-white background.
• Birth Certificate: Your original birth certificate or a sworn declaration of age.
• O'Level Result(s): Your WAEC/NECO/NABTEB statement of result(s).
• JAMB Result Slip: Your original JAMB result slip.
• Upload each document to its designated section.

9. Review and Submit Your Application

This is a critical final step before your application is sent for assessment.

• Navigate to the "Profile Review" section.
• Thoroughly review all the information you have entered across all sections. Check for any typos, errors, or missing details.
• Once you are completely satisfied that all information is accurate and complete, click the "Submit" button.
• Please note: After submission, you may not be able to make further changes to your application.

After Submission: Tracking & Admission

10. Track Your Application Status

After submitting your application, you can monitor its progress.

• Log in to your applicant dashboard or visit the application status page: jabu.edu.ng/application-status
• Your status will change from "Pending" to "Approved" or "Rejected" once a decision has been made.

11. If Approved: Download Admission Letter & Pay Acceptance Fee

Congratulations if your application is approved!

• If your application status changes to "Approved," you will be prompted to pay your acceptance fee.
• Upon successful payment of the acceptance fee, your official admission letter will be unlocked and available for you to download directly from your dashboard.
• Proceed to print your admission letter and keep it safe for registration.
